Our Storybook Journey

Hi readers!

We’re Amanda Hall and Erin Wood, two sisters, moms, and aspiring children’s book authors who have spent a whole lot of time explaining what words really mean.

You know the moments. A phrase is said. A child looks confused. And suddenly you’re knee‑deep in a conversation about why it’s not actually raining cats and dogs.

Our stories were inspired by those everyday moments, the curious questions, the giggles, and the wonderfully literal way kids interpret the world around them. We love language, especially the silly sayings that don’t quite make sense at first, and we believe stories are the best way to help kids understand them.

Our hope is that our books spark conversations, invite laughter, and help explain what all those funny phrases really mean, one story at a time.
